Service update from UCSF Alliance Health Project

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and San Francisco’s social distancing guidelines, UCSF Alliance Health Project (AHP) is currently offering limited face-to-face services to appointments only.

Please call us at (415) 476-3902 so we can connect you with your AHP provider, or try our website alliancehealthproject.ucsf.edu to make a Hepatitis C, HIV, or STD testing appointment.

If you are seeking telehealth behavioral health services, please call us to get a phone screening for your needs at (415) 476-3902.

If you do not have a phone, we will be here from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday. Please knock and we will invite you in for screening.

Be Kind and Stay Safe!

We are an LGBTQ specialty mental health clinic offering a range of support services to help with problems caused by living with HIV, mental illness and substance use.

If you are interested in our Behavioral Health Services, one of our staff will talk with you by phone or in person. They will ask you questions about your concerns and will determine if you are eligible for our services. If we are unable to assist you directly, we will refer you to services elsewhere.

What to Expect for Behavioral Health Services
Eligible populations who receive our services complete a detailed questionnaire about yourself and your health.

Next, you will schedule an appointment with one of our clinicians. At that appointment, the clinician will ask you some more questions to better understand your story and what is troubling you.

The clinician will then talk with you and recommend a course of treatment and fill you in on potential wait times for those services. Together, you will come up with a plan to help address your needs.

After this appointment and depending on wait times, one of our clinicians will reach out to schedule your first treatment appointment.

The goal of our services is to reduce the symptoms of mental illness or substance use that cause problems for our clients. Our treatment options include the following services. You may enroll in one or more of these services depending on your treatment needs:

  • Case Management
  • Gender Health
  • Groups
  • Psychiatry
  • Psychotherapy
  • Substance Use Counseling

One-on-one harm reduction sessions to explore substance use challenges and develop strategies and skills to support clients wherever they are with their use or recovery.

Please reach out to us for services, AHP is happy to serve.
